Diesel Generator Maintenance

Diesel generators serve as critical backup power sources in areas with unstable electricity supply or critical facilities. To ensure operational stability and longevity, a systematic maintenance strategy must be implemented, addressing the following priorities.

First, regularly clean oil stains on the body, tighten loose components, and remove accumulated water around the generator.

Second, maintain proper fuel tank levels to prevent low fuel levels from disrupting supply, check for pipeline leaks, and replace fuel filters periodically to avoid clogging from impurities.

Third, monitor coolant reservoir levels, replace degraded coolant to prevent poor heat dissipation, inspect the radiator and water pipes for blockages or damage, and perform timely repairs.

Fourth, check battery voltage and charge levels, test control circuits and sensor functionality ensure accurate signal transmission, and replace aging parts promptly.

Finally, ensure the generator is placed in a dry, well-ventilated, and dust-free area with sufficient clearance for operation and heat dissipation, avoiding high humidity or temperatures that may cause corrosion or overheating shutdowns.
